Hey Everyone,

Well now that I have wireless Ill be able to write in this blog more often. Ill be able to post my thoughts, feelings and events occurring in my life so that all may remain in contact with me and the happenings of my life as well as providing me a way of recording such things as well.

To get wireless up and running in our home has proved to be such a difficulty, I'm convinced that it is because of us having to do it all ourselves, I'm sure if some experienced man had come out to connect us we would never have had all the problems we managed to encounter. None the less our family has now progressed from being a Windows '98 owner to the modern high tech world where programs no longer are labeled by the year they come out in!

I hope everyone is well, keep your eyes peeled on this spot for exciting posts which shall definitely be more exciting than this one and the previous ones!

My Holidays are beginning to Improve!

Well now that I am feeling rather Computer Clever, I am going to write a post to show that my holidays have improved and I have actually been doing things other than sitting at a computer.
After my super boring week things improved. The improvements began with my cousin Daniel (12) asking if I would be the "responsible adult" of him and some of his friends on saturday whilst they went to Adventure World. I agreed, as my Aunt and Uncle for my birthday had given me a ticket there anyway and so I didnt have to pay for anything.

A few hours after agreeing to going it suddenly hit me that I didnt know how many kids I was going to have to be responsible for. I asked Daniel with which he replied..."12!!!". Little me was like "No no bucko, Im not taking that many 12 year olds to a theme park." Daniel agreed to cut it down and it ended up there being 4 of his friends my brother and I.

When we arrived at the theme park and we were waiting for his friends to arrive I asked Daniel the names of the three other friends that he had invited. Only to find out that there were 2 girls and 2 boys and that each boy girl couple were in fact going out. As a result my role of "responsible adult" of almost hormonal teenagers chaned to Chaperone of a double date. Once we had entered the theme park I realised I had nothing to fear. A double date at the age of 12 consists of the girls hanging out together the boys hanging out togehter and each of the sexes barely looking at each other let along holding hands or macking behind the bushes! So my job was easy and it turned out to be a super fun day.

The rides at the theme park were awsome! They have a bunch of water slide rides, which I practically stayed at the whole tiemt hat I was there. It was a beautiful day, temperature 36 and not a cloud in the sky! There were 3 types of slides. One was called the Rapid Rafters or something like that and it was my least favourite of all. You sit in this large rubber rings with you bum in the hole and your legs hanging over the edge and it is kind of like white water rafting (well supposed to be anyways). I found though that the ride wasnt fast enough and you keep getting stuck and the water isnt deep enough so you scrape your bum heaps of times and come off the end of the slide quite sore. Never the less I still went on it twice so that damage received from the ride didnt put me off enough to not go on it a second time. They also have this ride which is called the Mats. There are two slides of this ride and you can choose which one you go on. I personally think that one is better than the other and so only rode on my prefered slide the majority of the time. This was my favourite ride of all as there are lots of mats so the line goes faster, the ride is fast and you dont hurt yourself as much going down. The slide for this ride is a half pipe that twists and bends and has water rushing down it. Its really fun to slide yourself up the sides as you go sliding down. The third type of water slide is called the Tunnel of Terror, and whilst it is not really all that scary it is lots of fun. This slide is a full pipe and two people go on it at a time. You sit in a double ringed tube with one person at the front and another person at the back. Although I thoroughly enjoyed this ride, as you have know idea where you are going as the tunnel is pitch black inside, the line for it is always huge and I could never be bothered waiting in line for it. I went on a few other rides (that did not involve water) however considering the type of day it was (hot and sunny) I did not pay the other rides as much attention as I paid the water slides. So that ended my fun Saturday out at Adventure World.

The next day of my exciting weekend started off with me going to church with my Nanny and then she took me out for coffee and a little bit of retail therapy. However the highlight of this day was in the evening. I went again to church and after I made some new friends and we all went out to look at the street christmas lights. People get really into decorating their houses with lights and some of the houses were amazing with the number of lights and the amount of santas, candy canes, snowmen and other christmassy things that they decorated both the exterior of their houses and their front lawns! I loved the christmas lights. I would probably be too uncreative and lazy to do my house like that but I do love to look and admire other peoples hard work. It also helped get me into the christmassy mood!

Well then monday came and I caught up with old school friends from when I lived over here in Perth. It was great to see them and we chatted away like we had never been apart which was awsome. I love the fact that no matter where I am in the world and how long apart I am from my friends I am able to come back and see them as if no time has passed. I think that that is really cool and important too!

Hmm well Ive reached tuesday which is today, and Ive just been to the movies with a friend and am about to go to some christmassy thing, so I had better go and get ready for it!

My First Ever Post

Well, Im not exactly one to do this sort of thing, so it probably won't last long and Ill end up deleting it as nothing exciting happens in my life so I dont really have anything to write about! However I may be suprised and then I can suprise everyone else and something exciting could happen and then I could write about it...hey you never know!

Well I am in Perth at the moment staying with my grandma along with my mum and sister. To be honest I am bored out of my brain! I am sending silly sms's and emails to everyone with no point because I dont have anything else to do. Ive read 2 long books in 2 days as Ive nothing else to fill my days with. If I am not doing that I am getting lost in my imagination...imagining what other people are doing on their holidays, imagining what life is going to be like next year now that I have finished school and am starting university. I also try to think up different places I can go travelling and live in when I am doing my degree in my holidays or when I have finsihed my degree! I am open to any suggestions as to how to save myself from bordem!

Well enough of my grumblings of my bordem maybe I should talk of something exciting...hmm!?! Well I have just finished school and yesterday I got my results which were good and should mean that I can get into the course I want to do (fingers crossed) which is a double degree of nursing midwiffery at La Trobe University. I am looking very forward to doing this course as it sounds very exciting, and I like the look of the univeristy as well. Also I am hoping that Ill be able to do an postgrad in Neonates (which are little babies or baby's in incubators!) So its all very exciting, and I am beginning to feel rather grown up ;)

Also another exciting thing that is happening is Christmas is coming!!! WOOHOO!! I just love Christmas. I love the way the whole family gets together and just enjoys one anothers company. A family is so special, you don't choose your family, you are blessed with who you get, and yet you all share a special bond and can have fun, laugh together and get along because you are family. I just love it. I think everyone should totally appreciate their family no matter who they are, you dont get to choose them making them special and should look at the positive attributes rather than focusing on negative aspects. My family is definately not perfect, but I still think they are pretty cool. I come from a large family (extended family I mean). My mum was the eldest of five and so there are lots of aunties and uncles and cousins. All of the family will be in Perth except for my Uncle and Auntie with their children in Holland as it is a bit expensive for them to all come over and they don't really have holidays at that time any way! We all are very loud and so christmas time at our house is loud, boisterous and down out right crazy. The boys go around giving everyone wedgies and nipple cripples, we all tell stupid and rude jokes, we all play cricket out the back, have races (eg. piggy back races), swim in the pool and joke and laugh with one another.

Hmm...well I have run out of things to ramble about for the time being as nothing is really happening atm, but I am sure that I will think of something to say soon enough just so that I have something to do for 15 mins of my long and boring days!
